We found various photographs on pinterest inspiring the panton pallet 2016.
The prevalent combination of Rose Quartz and Serenity also challenges traditional perceptions of color association

.“We look at the history of where we’ve been with color and ask ourselves, is this a time for change? Our feeling was: yes.”

What’s come through loud and clear is that Pantone’s Color of the Year is arguably most interesting as a conversation-starter, never as a dictum to be blindly obeyed. Their selection process pinpoints colors that seem ascendant across design disciplines globally — fashion, interiors, housewares, packaging and product, graphic design and more — but not yet completely dominant. They choose a color reaching a tipping point and give it a public nudge, so we all finally notice it and talk it over.

In 1979, Zaha Hadid opened her own practice, Zaha Hadid Architects. Patrik Schumacher joined her in 1988.

"Working with senior office partner, Patrik Schumacher, Hadid's interest lies in the rigorous interface between architecture, landscape, and geology as her practice integrates natural topography and human-made systems, leading to experimentation with cutting-edge technologies. Such a process often results in unexpected and dynamic architectural forms."

About Zaha Hadid:

From parking garages and ski-jumps to vast urban landscapes, Zaha Hadid's works have been called bold, unconventional, and theatrical. Zaha Hadid studied and worked under Rem Koolhaas, and like Koolhaas, she often brings a deconstructivist approach to her designs.

Since 1988, Patrik Schumacher had been Hadid's closest design partner. Schumacher is said to have coined the tern parametric-ism to describe the curvaceous, computer-aided designs of Zaha Hadid Architects. Learn more in the article Parametric Design in the 21st Century.

Sculpture in Motion: Helio Curve Hyundai’s Design Philosophy, Salone Del Mobile, 2015.

<Helio Curve> recreates the movement of an ocean wave by suspending 400 open-celled tongue-and-groove wooden blocks within a five-meter cube, each block linked by string to an electrically-powered metal drive. The individual blocks appear to be connected to form a wave over 3m high, which ebbs and flows in a continuous rhythms of ‘living motion’ that never repeats, highlighting the variability and harmonious flow of organic movement – and celebrating movement itself as an art form. With an exclusively designed lighting, <Helio Curve> casts a huge fluidic shadow, enhancing the experience even further.

This complicated and beautiful kinetic art work was carefully designed by Reuben Margolin under complex mathematical design.

Bringing movement to life
California-based artist Reuben Margolin is known for his large-scale kinetic installations which encapsulate complex yet beautiful movement of the nature. For the past 15 years, Reuben Margolin has been working on a series of monumental mechanical mobiles completing over 20 suspended undulating installations whose modular fluidity is operated through analogical components.
The second part of ‘Sculpture in Motion’ project <Helio Curve> was unveiled at the opening of 2015 Milan Design Week, demonstrating Hyundai Motor’s commitment to sharing and fostering design philosophy in all its forms. This collaborative art work of Reuben Margolin and Hyundai Motor Design Center, <Helio Curve> celebrates the beauty of continuous movement of the ‘living form’; how the way ‘movement of motion’ takes ‘tangible’ form while still retaining its natural energy and movement.

The art work gives expression to the vitality, harmonious unity of interconnectivity of the natural world reflecting Hyundai Motor’s unique design philosophy, ‘Fluidic Sculpture’, where the design process is always adaptive, flowing and inspired by nature. Moving beyond its first project, ‘Sculpture in Motion’, where 12,000 translucent spheres acted collectively as a screen occupying 1,000 square meters, the second part of ‘Sculpture in Motion’ adds breath of life; Hyundai’s design philosophy is reinterpreted in natural flow and energy.

Happy Holi !

                                                                                              https://g.co/doodle/gntsrc

Today, people around the world will pelt each other with colored powder in celebration of Holi, the centuries-old holiday that is now celebrated throughout the world. Holi coincides with the beginning of Spring, and for many it’s an opportunity to indulge in the bright, colorful festivity of the new season.Google Doodle honors this tradition, and all those celebrating on this joyous day.

Color, in essence, has been a large part of the Indian consciousness. In a country as diverse and culturally vibrant as India, it is perhaps the common, simple expressions of color that hold together the multitudes of outlooks, lifestyles, and traditions. The symbolism of color stands out and controls every aspect of life in India, be it religion, politics, festivals, celebrations or even public sentiments. An interesting way of looking at all that mentioned above is to imagine a shape, structure, form, design, pattern, lattice for every color, mood, food, festival, religion, politics, finance’s and let them go loose and get interspersed with each other. Engulfing one form to make a new one. Each design creating a new pattern, with the same meaning and yet a different perspective.

India remains colorful, decorated and vibrant in more ways than one. It stands strong as perhaps the most stoic example of unity in a world so divided. And the colors and lattices that hold it together are the framework of faith, pride, and love – feelings that overcome all differences.
